Serves 4-6
What You'll Need
- 1 packet Workhorse Taco Seasoning
- 1 lb ground meat
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2/3 cup water
- Recommended toppings: shredded cheese; lettuce; tomatoes; sour cream; salsa; and avocado
- Optional (but recommended): Tortillas; taco shells; or rice
Instructions
- Heat oil in skillet over medium heat
- Add meat; cook until browned
- Drain grease
- Add onion; cook 2-3 minutes
- Stir in seasoning; cook 30 seconds
- Add water; stir to combine
- Simmer 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened
Make It Your Own
Serve in tacos, burritos, bowls, or nachos. Use for enchiladas or casseroles. Add jalapeños for heat.
Loaded Bean Dip
Serves 6-8
What You'll Need
- 1 packet Workhorse Taco Seasoning
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10 oz) petite diced tomatoes with chiles drained
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 small jalapeño diced (optional)
- Green onions for topping
- Tortilla chips or corn chips for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a large bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, seasoning, and tomatoes with chiles
- Stir until smooth and evenly blended
- Fold in 1.5 cups shredded cheese and optional jalapeño
- Spread mixture into a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet
- Top with remaining cheese
- Bake 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly
- Top with green onions and serve warm with tortilla chips or corn chips

Add cooked ground beef or sausage for a heartier dip. Top with jalapeños or hot sauce for extra flavor.
Crockpot Chicken Tacos
Serves 4-6
What You'll Need
- 1 packet Workhorse Taco Seasoning
- 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 can (10 oz) petite diced tomatoes with chiles or 1 cup of your favorite salsa
- 4 oz cream cheese (optional)
- Tortillas for serving
- Optional (but recommended): Shredded cheese; sour cream; lettuce; avocado; limes
Instructions
- Place chicken and onion into crockpot
- Add seasoning and tomatoes with chiles or salsa
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours
- Shred chicken with two forks and stir into sauce
- If using cream cheese, add during the last 15-20 minutes and stir until melted and creamy
- Serve in tortillas with your favorite toppings
